500!!!

I do my makeup differently every day. Some days I don't wear any makeup, some days I wear everything.

simple to more complicated.

When I know I am not going to want to take my makeup off I DO NOT use foundation or concealer, and I just use mascara.

when I want to amp it up a little bit I use eyeliner only on the top and mascara

I usually tight-line my eyes and put eyeliner on the water line then I use a shimmer on my lids with mascara

then on days when I am feeling like I want to make my eyes pop I use all shimmer, from the BHCosmetics palettes, tropical shimmer. and I use a light shimmer, brown pink based, then a gold shimmer on the outer corner then a brown shimmer on the crease and over top of the gold. if I want more depth I put a little bit of silver black. then I tight line, water line and just line. mascara and your done. change the look to your own liking.

You can use foundation for any of these looks, I am just tired of the feeling of stuff piled on my face and I feel greasy...

Annabelle Black Eyeliner

I have been using this eyeliner since the day I started using eyeliner (since I was 14, so 4 years), and obviously I LOVE it!! I buy it in black, and I find that it goes on so smoothly. It doesn't stay in the waterline, but I have never used an eyeliner that stays in the waterline...

but I love this eyeliner, and it is inexpensive, you can get it at any drug store.

Lush R & B

This is a hair product from Lush that I am LOVING!!! R & B.

This is what Lush promises

Smooth rhythms.
Enjoy some smooth R&B stylings. The tropical butters and candelilla wax will help to moisturize and control frizzy, flyaway hair, but this works to soothe dry scalps, too, with calming oat milk. And once you smell the orange blossom, your hair will truly get its groove back.

What is says up top is TRUE!!!! My hair is soft and feels AMAZING!!! I haven't felt an improvement on my scalp though, but I do not put it on my scalp, I would have to use WAY to much and it is not cheap, $18.95, and the container is small... you don't have to use very much though. but I love this product. the only thing I don't like is that it smells like a bathroom... haha... not a gross dirty bathroom, but I don't even know how to explain it, because NO ONE likes the smell of a washroom, but if you go to the store and just smell it you will know what I mean... :) but I truly love this product. I put it in my hair when it is wet and then I dry it and my hair is soft and shiny!!!!!!! extra shiny!!!!!

400!!!!

These are products I kinda don't really have an opinion on...

1. Angels On Bare Skin: Lush Cleanser/light exfoliant: I have had this product for about 3 months and I don't know what to think of it... I think it is perfect for a person who is just starting to wash their face, but I don't know what to think of it. smells pretty good...

2. Venganese: Lush Conditioner: again... I don't know what to think of it. It doesn't work as a salon conditioner. I feel like I have to use SO much on my hair and the price isn't worth it, but what is worth the price is the smell. the smell is AMAZING!!!

3. Coconut: Lush Deodorant: I am not sure about this one... I don't know if it works for me... it is a powder and it is a big pain to use... I have it all over my bedroom. Love the smell... but I don't know if it is working as a deodorant...

Other then those 3 items I can't think of any other product that I have that I do not have an opinion on.

Lush Colour Supplements

This is like a foundation, but Lush uses the word supplement because they DO NOT use ANY animal products or test on animals. and I am LOVING this foundation. I got the colour Light Pink, but It is too light so I mix a little bit of Charlotte Island and it is my perfect colour, and it smells good. :) but I use the original light pink under my eyes and read spots, then I mix the tan colour. it goes on SUPER smooth, and it is VERY good coverage, and I breakout less, and I think I might be less oily, not sure... my skin is having problems with the weather changing ALL the time. it's cold and raining, it hot and sunny, cold, raining, windy, sunny. it's annoying. but I am loving this supplement right now. and with all my face lush products I don't even really need cover up anymore... although I am still kinda red, but I can live with that. :)

... facials...

So... This is going to be about making your own skin care products. these are fresh products and should only be used once or twice in the first 3 days they are made or they go bad. I am doing this because I know if men are reading this and they think it is stupid, but they want to know how to take care of their face without the embarrassment of purchasing products they can just make their own... if that makes sense... :)

anyways...
Some basic things are just researching what is good for your face, but obviously your reading this so you don't have to.

If you are looking for a lip scrub that doesn't cost very much, MAKE ONE!!! use brown sugar, olive oil and I mix in vitamin E oil. mix it together and just scrub your lips to get the dead skin off and to smooth out your lips. I suggest not storing this. after using a lip scrub make sure you have a lip chap with you, or use olive oil, or vitamin E oil.

before you start using cleansers and exfoliators etc. Make sure that there is no makeup on the face.

For a homemade exfoliator you can pretty much do anything. You can mix some sea salt with olive oil, sea salt with mashed avocado, oat meal and plain yogurt, oat meal and honey, sea salt and honey, sea salt and lemon, although lemon is runny, so maybe mix lemon with yogurt or something. make sure any fresh food you use is organic. mashed bananas, rub on the face and rinse. Sugar and olive oil.... it also depends on your skin type. for example, I have oily skin so I think I would use honey, saly and lemon, yogurt and oatmeal...

For a cleanser, you want something softer. more relaxing. Cucumber is always food for the face and eyes. mash up cucumber and maybe some honey mixed in and rub on your face, rinse off. there you go, :) Avocado is great for the skin, again mash, mix with some olive oil, lemon, maybe a mashed banana. if You can get your hands on some fresh lavender mash it up and use it on your face, lavender is very relaxing and calms redness. seaweed. you can use the seaweed from your left over sushi. and just rub it on your face how it is. There are so many things you can do with natural food.

toner. I like using green tea and vitamin E oil. I warm up the green tea and mix in the Vit. E as much as I can, it usually sticks to the top... and use a cotton pad and rub it on my face. it gets any extra dirt off and it feels nice. you can freeze this mixture in an ice cube tray and have toner cubes. just remember when it is a little bit frozen you have to stick tooth picks in it so you can easily take the green tea cube out and put the tray back in the freezer. organic rice water is good for calming the face.

you can't forget to moisterize!!! This is a VERY important step, even if your don't do any of the above things, you should be moisturizing every day. I live in Alberta. it is a very dry climate and people should be moisturizing every day. I don't know very much about moisturizing with organic products, but I know that egg yolk is good. you might want to rinse it off after a minute and dab to dry, don't wipe. I read that peach's are a good moisturizer. honey, olive oil... after I moisturize before bed I put vitamin E oil around my eyes first and what ever is left all over my face. and sleep with it. I have seen a huge improvement on my face. I try not to sleep with makeup, but sometimes I get really lazy and I do sleep with it... bad... I know...

I forgot I have a recipe for an exfoliator. I use aspirin. I get 3 aspirin pills without the weird plastic coat on them, and I wet them a little bit and wait until they turn into mush kinda... when the pill separates or whatever. and then honey and vitamin E and I just rub it on my face and rinse off.

for around your eyes. Cucumber is truly good for the eyes. if you are relaxing in bed or something put cucumber slices over your eyes, Vitamin E. You will look greasy using vit. E, and it might be annoying that I say to use it with everything, but it is good. trust me. :) especially if you are worried about wrinkles and fine lines.

it is better to start taking care of your skin when you are young then when you are older. when your older the damage is done and it could be hard to repair. don't go over board with washing your face. use different products and recipes so your skin doesn't become immune. exfoliate maybe 2-3 times a week. use a mask maybe once a week. cleanse tone at least once a day. twice is better for toning. moisturize at lest once a day. twice is better. Try to clean your face 2-3 times a day. once when you wake up... get the tired off your face. :) It gets the stuff from the night before off your face. if you can do it in the middle of your day... but what women wants to do her makeup 2 times a day?? :) so then wash your face again before bed. In the morning I just use a toner and a moisturizer, sometimes I cleanse. at night I take my make up off. twice. I have to take off my makeup once and my skin seems to just soak up makeup, so I wash it again. very annoying. and then I tone, then I moisturize, then I use my vitamin E. if I was to totally do EVERYTHING. I would... wake up. wash my face in the shower, cleanse. tone. moisturize. and if I didn't wear makeup I would tone again and moisturize again in the middle of the day. and then at night I would exfoliate, use a mask, cleanse, tone, moisturize, vitamin E. sleep. maybe with the mask I would use cucumber.

I am sorry this is rambley, but people do things different. and if you are looking for maybe a cheap way to clean your face, just use the product in your own home.

300!!!

This blog is going to be about a Lush pedicure. :) I love doing these to my mom... I know, weird, but it is wonderful.

Since my mom has a lot of callus on her feet I have to use a foot paddle... but here is step by step on how I do a pedicure at home.

0. Optional: Use the Volcano Foot Mask ($20.95) before starting any other procedure. Volcano Foot Mask prepares the feet and drags out any dirt or toxins. Of course I did it on my mom so she goes and washers her feet in the shower, but for a client you might want a bowl of warm water and a face cloth to wipe the mask off. When you apply the mask massage it on, and when you take it off massage it off.

1. Warm water in a clean LARGE bowl (remember when the feet are in the bowl of water the water will rise, so don't fill the bowl TOO much). Make sure it is a comfortable heat for the client and break off a piece of Stepping Stone (This helps relax the clients feet ($3.95)) and put it in the warm water. put the clients feet in the bowl of water and let them soak for a little bit.
2. After a minute of soaking take off any polish and put the feet back in the water.
3. If the client has a lot of callus build up use a foot paddle (that you can purchase from pretty much any drug store) and scrub their feet to remove callus, try to remove as much as you can, and don't take to much skin off it could harm your client, use the rough side and smooth out the skin with the smoother side of the foot paddle.
4. Rotate feet when using the foot paddle. (I did my moms left foot and then put her foot back in the water and scrubbed her right foot and did it over one more time)
5. Use Ocean Salt on wet feet (Large jar $30.95, small jar $18.95), this removes extra skin and just feels good on the feet. Rub Ocean Salt all over the foot (top and bottom) and try to focus on the tough parts of the foot, for example the heel of the foot.
6. Rinse off Ocean Salt in either a clean bowl of water or the same bowl that was being used earlier.
7. Bring a foot out again and use Sugar Babe on damp feet ($4.95) and rub all over the foot again, massage the bottom of the feet while you rub. This is a finer texture then Ocean Salt and will get more of the skin off and smooth out the skin. Just remember that Sugar Babe is sticky.
8. Rinse the scrub and pull both feet out and dry.
9. When the feet are dry use Fair Trade Foot Lotion ($21.95) and massage it into the feet and thighs and continue massaging into the skin. (It is hard to describe a massage but...)
10. When you massage the feet and legs start massaging the thighs, massage towards the heart, it gets the blood flowing. I usually focus on the heels of the feet because they are usually very tough and hard. Then I go to the big toe and do everything in between. I massage for probably 10-20 minutes.
11. After most of the lotion has been absorbed into the feet put on Lemony Flutter($14.95) on the Heels and other tough parts on the foot.
12. Pied De Pepper Foot Lotion ($15.95) is the last lotion I put on the feet. I only put this on the feet and I finish the massage with it. make sure you are finishing the massage calmly. at first you want to start the massage slow and go faster and then wind back down so the client feels like they have had a good calming massage and treatment. You want the client to be fully relaxed.
13. Optional: Use Ultrabalm ($12.95) on the tough parts of the feet and any crack on the feet that couldn't be scrubbed off.
14. use a dusting powder. I do not have T for Toes ($10.95) so I used Vanilla Puff Powder ($11.95) to set the lotion. It also makes it soft and not so oily.
15. If the client would like painted toes, remember to wipe off any lotion from the nails or the paint would not stay.

There is my version of a home foot massage/pedicure using Lush products. May be a little pricey, but 100% worth it! My mom is LOVING her feet. She gets really bad callus and I would like to do her feet about every 3-5 days just to get them nice and soft and not cracked anymore, but I don't have time and she doesn't have time... so it is a little bit hard... :)

Coalface

Another Lush. This one is new and I have only used it about 4 times, but I have to say that it is WONDERFUL!!!! If you go on the website it says it leaves your skin squeaky clean and that is literally how it feels. after using it, you rub your fingers on your face and it feels like your skin should be making a squeaking sounds... haha. it is fantastic! I think this product 100% helped my weird breakouts. I mean they aren't totally cleared, but they have minimized and it's just a nice feeling. It absorbs extra oils on the face, so I don't recommend it for people with dry skin. But it is truly great for oily skin.

Just remember when you use new products that your skin is not used to them and you might breakout a little more, and then clear up. some people just assume that face products with just make breakouts vanish, and your skin will most likely get worse before it gets better. and I suggest changing your skin care products once and a while so your skin doesn't become immune to the products. or not use the one product so often.

Soak and Float

Dandruff Shampoo from, of course, Lush.

UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING! I get an irritated scalp A LOT!! and I have tried like EVERY shampoo for it, I have tried washing my hair less, like waiting 3 days and using less shampoo. nothing. and this week my head was SO SO SO bad I had to get my mom to check for lice (I don't have it I promise) but it was SO awful and my mom says I was scratching so much that my head was bleeding. NOT GOOD!!!!!! So I HAD to go to Lush for their Dandruff shampoo, I used it last night and WOW! My head is still a little itchy, but OMGOODNESS!!!!! I LOVE this shampoo, and it lathers SO much, I did not know that. It is a solid bar of shampoo, so you just rub it on your head then use your hands to lather and get it all over, well... I guess I rubbed it on my head too much because I had A LOT of soap in my hair. The only negative part is the smell. the smell is NASTY!!!! like a yucky fire. like NASTY! but I don't care anymore, because I can not handle having an irritated head anymore! but if you have dandruff or an itchy head you NEED this shampoo bar! It is $9.95 and it looks small and it smells bad, but the lady there said it would last aprox. 50-60ish washes, and it is amazing!!! I got 2 because I really need them! make sure you have a good smelling conditioner because you don't want this smell in your hair all day.

Ultra Bland

All my blog posts are going to be about Lush, and I PROMISE they are in no way sponsoring this blog, it's just that I love their products SO much, and everything I have comes from their. :)

anyways,

this is about the cleanser Ultra Bland. I use it as a makeup remover because IT IS AMAZING! THE BEST MAKEUP remover EVER!!!!!!

this is what the website says

Bland and non-irritating.
Ultrabland is a huge cult product. With a new almond oil base, this cream cleanser takes off make-up and cares for your face. It's gentle, but the deeply-cleansing oils reach down and remove stubborn dirt and makeup. Helen has used it every day for 13 years and has never looked back.

and I LOVE it!!! I don't like makeup removers because they are greasy and gross, but this stuff is amazing, and it cleans your face too.
